PDX Pop Now

PDX Pop Now! is a non-profit organization dedicated to stimulating and expanding participation in Portland music.

Each year they hold a free 3-day music festival featuring nothing but Portland bands. This year's festival runs July 21-23. You should go, it is always fantastic. Almost assuredly you will walk away with new favorite bands to check out.

As if that weren't enough, the organization also produces a yearly compilation of local music. Two discs, typically 20 songs apiece. They've been doing this since 2004.

And that's where Back To The Egg comes in: in anticipation of next weekend's festival, BTTE host Crackity Jones will be playing nothing but tracks from the 14 years of PDX Pop Now! compilations.

The festivities start at midnight on Saturday 7/15 (technically that's Sunday 7/16, but hey who can be technical at a time like this?) and end at 3am.
