A continuing discussion about “Bridging The Gap” between blood donations and Sickle Cell Anemia.

Join hosts Tina Turner-Morfitt, Dr. Audrey Terrell,  and Ms. Deborah Hall in a discussion with Natividad Lewis, Communications Manager for the Oregon Red Cross, and Etoulia Salas, a member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority. The AKA's  have a long standing history of participating in the historic Dr. Charles Drew Blood Drive scheduled for  6-17-2017  7:00  am  -  1:00 pm.  at the Red Cross Blood Center located at 3131 N. Vancouver Ave., Portland, OR 97227.  This year marks the 12th drive.  Our discussion will highlight the importance of keeping Sickle Cell Anemia in the forefront of conversations.  Our segment “Bridging the Gap” between blood donations and Sickle Cell Anemia will address the continued need for testing, education and a consistent flow of donors.
