Hello, Phil G here. Last year, before David Bowie's passing, Parlorphone Records released a 12 CD Box Set Called "5 Years, 1969-1973." We did a special last fall, celebrating that box and also talking about David Bowie's influence on other musicians of the time.
Now, a second 12 CD Box Set has been Released, "Who Can I Be Now 1974-1976," covering 3 years of stylistic and personal transitions.
I'll be exploring the music of this set Friday, October 28th for two hours, including cuts from "The Gouster," a previously unreleased album (which was replaced by "Young Americans") and a previously unreleased Live Show from Long Island in 1976.
David Bowie was one of a small roup of performers who transformed our music cuture and his passing has left many folks looking for inspiration. I hope this music inspires you to go out and make some art of your own.
