Drinking from Puddles on 07/13/11

Sometimes in music-journalism the words icon and iconic get employed pretty liberally. But when you’ve had a 40 plus year-long recording career, with audio documents released in six different decades, and have sold roughly 38 million records, with songs played on hundreds and hundreds of radio stations on a daily basis…then it’s well deserved. Jon Anderson, most notably the former vocalist, lyricist and songwriter of progressive rock pioneers Yes, is on a solo acoustic tour. It’s an honor to welcome him to Drinking From Puddles for a few tunes and some chat on the eve of his scheduled stop in Portland Thursday night July 14th at the Aladdin Theater. (!!!)
