March is Women’s History Month, so the March 6 Pastures of Plenty show on KBOO features songs of women’s struggles and stories as sung by some great women artists.
You’ll hear women’s voices from Morocco, Ecuador, Ireland, Scotland, England, Vietnam, Canada, and the U.S.
Featured artists include pioneering 1960s women folksingers Odetta, Peggy Seeger, Joan Baez, Judy Collins, Joni Mitchell and Barbara Dane, British legends Sandy Denny and June Tabor, and the new generations of women folk singers like Molly Tuttle, Sierra Hull, and Rhiannon Giddens.
The program airs from 5:30 - 7:00 a.m. Pacific Time Wednesday March 6, 2024 on 90.7 FM in Portland and streaming live everywhere at https://kboo.fm/listen-now.
If you oversleep or sleep in, you can listen at any time after the show airs live at https://kboo.fm/program/pastures-plenty.
