This weekend, we're excited to bring you the brand new single from Safari Inn (spin-off band of the Franklys).
PLUS every hour, we play a block of tunes from our Featured Goddesses:
ARXX - A dynamic gal-pal duo hailing from Brighton, East Sussex. Made up of women Hanni Pidduck on lead vocals and Clara Townsend on drums, ARXX delivers an infectious blend of alt-rock. Their debut album "Ride or Die" boasts sparkling synths, powerful bass licks, and incredible vocals.
Atrocity Girl - The electrifying rockers hailing from Seattle. These sonic goddesses are currently on tour throughout the UK and known for their explosive performances across the Pacific Northwest. As a band that values diversity, Atrocity Girl is inclusive of the LGBTQ and POC communities. With Johnny-Angel leading on vocals and guitar, Angie Dane crushing on drums, Nicole Valles delivering powerful basslines, and Ryan Lee shredding on guitar, Atrocity Girl is a force to be reckoned with.
The Pleasure Seekers - The legendary 60s Garage Rock band hailing from Detroit. Led by the powerhouse Patti Quatro, this band's tunes pack a punch with powerful hooks and expertly crafted structure. Formed in 1964, the original lineup featured sisters Suzi Quatro and Patti Quatro, with Nancy Ball on drums, Mary Lou Ball on guitar, and Diane Baker on keyboards. While the band eventually morphed into "Cradle", Suzi Quatro went on to record several solo albums, score radio hits, and even played "Leather Tuscadero" on the 70s TV show "Happy Days".
(*On the show, I misspoke and stated that Suzi played Pinky, when actually she played "Leather", the younger sister of Pinky Tuscadero. Oops!)
