The Middle Way, in Buddhism, is, according to the Encyclopedia Brittanica, the "complement of general & specific ethical practices & philosophical views that are said to facilitate enlightenment by avoiding the extremes of self-gratification on one hand & self-mortification on the other."
The Middle Passage was, according to the Wikipedia, the horrific "stage of the Atlantic slave trade in which millions of enslaved Africans were transported to the Americas as part of the triangular slave trade."
The Middle Ages were, according to history dot com, the period of time in "Europe between the fall of Rome in 476 CE & the beginning of the Renaissance in the 14th century."
These are three subjects that were not explored in Self Help Radio's show about "the middle." Middle age, middle men, middle school, middle names, middle of nowhere, middle of the road, middle of night - these were covered. & middle children? Yes, not only were there some songs but all the guest on the show were middle children: child star Oliver Castle, star of the 1980s sitcom "Middle Child"; Tabitha Little, who has a project connecting middle children; Maury Rovitch, a therapist who treats middle children; & Christopher Bridger & Jeff Jarvis, who talked about being middle children.
So much music. So much talk. Three hours of Self Help Radio in the middle of the night.
Hey! I made that image up there! Did I get the Self Help Radio logo right in the middle?
