The "Russians" were trolling the election for profit...
I expect Muller will eventually get Trump for money laundering &/or obstruction of justice, but this Russian troll farm may be a red herring unless it can be shown that they were funded by the Kremlin. It's like the Macedonian teenagers on a larger scale - an opportunity to cash in:
