Ollie Hoopnoodle's Haven of Bliss by Jean Shepherd
In honor of Father's Day, and Summer Vactions we present one of our favorite Jean Shepherd stories "Ollie Hoopnodles Haven of Bliss". Another account of Jean's adventures and misadventures growing up in the mid 20th Century, Tonight, his family takes their annual road trip in the their oldsmoble from Norhtern Indiana to the wilds of of Southern Michigan for a week in the rustic cabins by Clear Lake operated by Ollie Hoopnoodle.
