Interview with Victoria Brittain on her book Shadow Lives: The Forgotten Women of the War On Terror

Interview; Shadow Lives: The Forgotten Women of the War on Terror, Author Victoria Brittain

There are some women I would like you to meet! Sabah, a Palestinian raised in Jordan. She put on the Hihjab at age 14 against her fathers advice. She was an elementary school there when she had met her husband. Zinnira, born in India and raised in London. At age 21 she made the pilgramige to Mecca with her father. Moved by the experience she prayed to marry a good man in white robes and a scarf like those she had seen in Mecca. I am Linda Olson-Osterlund and these are just two of the women you will learn about on this weeks show. My guest is Guardian reporter and author Victoria Brittain. She will introduce us to Sabah and Zinnira as well others in her book Shadow Lives: The Forgotten Women of the  War on Terror.  Tune in and learn about the wives of the Muslim men locked up by the US & UK in their endless " War on Terror"
