On this edition of Free Culture Radio: Decolonizing Coca.

The nations of Colombia and Bolivia held an event at the United Nations in New York on November 7th to challenge the negative connotation attributed to the coca plant. The event was entitled "Beyond Declassification: Detoxifying Narratives Around the Coca Leaf.” We hear from one of the speakers, Wade Davis, PhD, Professor of Anthropology and the BC Leadership Chair in Cultures and Ecosystems at Risk at the University of British Columbia.
