When a listener asked me if I had ever done a Self Help Radio episode about guns, I said nope. I said it was too general a topic. (I didn't say I wasn't particularly interested in it.)
But this listener persisted & I asked if they had a favorite gun. Apparently they did - a shotgun. I said I could do a show about the shotgun. But I said I wouldn't like it!
Here therefore is a show where songs about shotguns - including lots of songs about shotgun weddings - mix with silly interviews.
I talk to a fellow who designs shotgun houses, to a shotgun safety expert, to a shotgun enthusiast from a Gresham Women's Gun Club, & to a friend of mine who thinks he coined the phrase "riding shotgun."
Basically I did the best I could with the theme.
The last hour of this three-hour block is not gun-related at all but is an episode of Corporate Standardized Programming featuring all new releases.
