In anticipation of this show, the host (Gary) counted all the doors in his home.  He decided against counting the refrigerator door, cabinet doors, closet doors, appliance doors, or other small doors that may exist - because there are lots of doors.  Instead, he focused on the doors one might conceivably, as a human-sized person, walk through.  He counted ten, including the garage door, the sliding glass door, & a pocket door.  That seemed like a lot of doors.  & this was a small home - one of those grotesque homes that are built on the graveyard plots of dear old Portland homes must have two dozen doors in them!  We are in a world filled with doors.

Naturally that deserves a radio program.  In addition to too many songs about doors - you can see them below - the show also featured an interviews with a doorman, an interview with a next-door neighbor, an interview with a former fan of the Doors, & another installment of Chuck's Happily Unsophisticated Cinema Korner, featuring films about doors.  For fans of doors, it's a treasure trove.  For fans of deejays trying awkwardly to use doors as a metaphor in airbreaks designed to raise money for KBOO, it's an embarassment of riches.

There's no doorbells sounds on this show, however.  But plenty of knocking!
