the height of pop & rock
So much in music was cool -- Pop was great, then. 5th Dimension, Hendrix, CSN & Sometimes Y, the New Yardbirds (Led Zep), Sid Barrett Pink Floyd, even Neil Diamond was hip.
some 1967 slipped in? Strawberry Alarmclock, I wouldn't have known!
Mr. Rogers is playing; probably not known at the time but Fred Rogers' testimony was vital in public tv/radio programming: $20 million? that's a lot in 1969
vinyl records preserved much of the quality of music back then.
KBOO was just getting started back then. Playing classical music a few hours a day, likely was not playing the 'Far-out' stuff just yet
