Student suing school district after sexual assault
A student at an elementary school in Sandy has reported that she was sexually assaulted by another student, and the school did not respond appropriately.
Now, the student’s family has filed a civil rights complaint to the US Dept of Education, Office for Civil RIghts against the Oregon Trail School District and Sandy Elementary School.
For more, KBOO’s Steve Zavodnyik spoke with Jeffrey Caffee, an attorney on the advisory board of Stop Sexual Assault in Schools nonprofit (SSAIS.org) who filed the complaint for the student assaulted at Sandy Elementary.
