Three travelers float down the Last American Highway, the Mississippi River
We're Galen, Reid, and Brian, three friends living in Portland, Oregon. This June, we're going to cram into a boat the size of a dorm room and head down the Mississippi. And as we go, we'll write, record and broadcast an original radio story.
This story, The River Signal, will be based on the people and places we encounter along the river. It'll feature live music performed on the boat's bow. We'll produce it in a teeny soundbooth wedged between the head and galley. And we'll broadcast it from abandoned docks and remote bayous, all summer long (or until we sink).
