Voices of Protest for Racial Justice, June 19th

"I might be the next name on the list. Any Black person here could be the next name on the list. My name could be the name you're chanting in these streets. That's a fear I have every single day of my life. Do you?"

For over three weeks now, protesters have been coming out each night, in Portland and around the country, calling for transformative change in the way that policing is carried out in our society. Led by young Black activists, they call for an end to police brutality and systemic racial injustice. 

KBOO's Jenka Soderberg brings us some of the voices of demonstrators at Jefferson High School and in downtown Portland at Terry Schrunk Plaza at the Black Futures Event on Friday, June 19th.
