Join Rural Roots Rising this week as they take us to Wallowa County to hear from Gwen Trice with the Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center, which offers a view into the lives of Black loggers in Northeastern Oregon. The Maxville Heritage Interpretive Center is a space where people are encouraged to grapple with the complex history of Northeastern Oregon and, in many ways, the history of Oregon, offering a view into the lives and discrimination experienced by Indigenous and immigrant timberworkers and loggers of color.
