Climate change, Climate crisis, Climate emergency.

This month, more than 11 thousand scientists joined in a declaration co-written by William Ripple, a professor of ecology at Oregon State University declaring a climate emergency.

Estimates of the point of no return for climate change are coming quicker. At one point, it was 2050, now scientists estimate there are just 10 years to change the fate of the planet, and all of us who live on it.

In Congress, more than 80 members have joined in the Climate Emergency Resolution, urging bold action.

KBOO’s Althea Billings spoke with Representative Earl Blumenauer about the Climate Emergency Resolution, the key areas for change, and the mobilization to come.
