Dan Jaffee continues his discussion with Michael Mehaffy, Senior Researcher at KTH Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm and co-host of the blog LiveablePortland.org about the housing crisis and alternatives to capital-friendly policies that would better address housing equity and affordability. Mehaffy contends that deregulation and “build baby build” doesn’t increase affordable housing and advocates more democratic processes involving community members.
