INTERVIEW WITH LOCAL YOUTH WHO ORGANIZED THE STRIKE

Bill Resnick talks with local students who helped organize last Friday’s (March 15) Student Climate Strike here in Portland. In Part One, we hear from Solomon Duke, senior at Franklin High.  He is a founder of the Portland Youth Climate Council and one of the organizers of the Student Climate Strike. In Part Two, Sriya Chinnam and Nora Glyn, both of the Lincoln High School Environmental Justice Club, discuss their work of organizing students for the Strike. All three students explain why they see climate action as so important and how they did the organizing. The Student Climate Strike was, and is, a world-wide event.
