ADN Presents a Black History Month special

“For Rosa Parks,” a one-hour jazz composition by Wadada Leo Smith, with the Blue Trumpet Quartet, the Diamond Voices Trio, and the Red Koral String Quartet.

Other pieces include “On This Night (if that Great Day Would Come), by Archie Shepp, based on the writings of W.E.B. DuBois, the notorious “Fables of Faubus” by Charles Mingus, 21^st century Afro-Futurism with Nicole Mitchell’s Black Earth Ensemble, some Nenah Cherry remixes and Anthony Braxton’s collegiate cheer.
