  • Portland Rising and Portland Association of Teachers is bringing Nicole McCormick, a leader of the WV teachers strike, to Portland to talk about the strike, lessons learned. Bill Resnick talks with Nicole about her upcoming visit.
  • Bill Resnick talks with Elizabeth Theil about Portland Public Schools. Elizabeth Theil is currently the Vice President of Portland Association of Teachers.

  • Jan Haaken talks with Lluvia Magali Merello and Tanya Golden, members of the Oregon vending community, about native vending practices and organizing. They discuss the work of vending, and their own work in organizing vendors as a community.  Lluvia creates arts, crafts and jewelry and Tanya grows produce on her family farm in Oregon and makes a range of products for local markets.  They are part of the Native American Community and Artist Village space at Last Thursday, on Alberta Space, scheduled this month for July 26th.
