The February bike show will focus on women racers of the late 19th century- early 20th century. In the first half our guest is Dutch photographer and cyclist Ilona Kamps http://www.ilonakamps.nl
who produced a beautiful book, a loving homage to Alfonsina Strada, the only woman who ever rode (in 1924!) the entire 3,600 kilometer long Giro d'Italia. Known as “The Devil with a dress,” Alfonsina defied the conventions of her time and raced against men. Alfonsina’s inspiring story is one that deserves to be better known.
