What will the future of food look like? Some say the only way we will be able to feed ourselves in the future is through an expansion of agribusiness, reliant on GMOs and pesticides. But there is another vision of the future that involves creating crops that regenerate the soil they're grown in, worker organizations that fight exploitation right down the supply chain and the rebuilding of local sustainable food networks.

On this episode of Locus Focus we talk with Anna Lappé, food writer and activist about how we can and must create a more equitable and sustainable food system. Anna, a founder of the Small Planet Institute and director of Real Food Media, served as guest editor for a recent special issue of The Nation magazine about the Future of Food.
