On Tuesday, September 29, 2017, at 11.30am Joseph Gallivan interviews Dana Lynn Louis  about La Grande Robe, her installation at Front of House Gallery.  The installation of two large dresses made from plastic rice sacks in Senegal comes with many stories behind them, of Louis’s trip to Africa a year ago.   

 

The show is open M-F 9-5, until Nov. 17.

I am excited to launch "La Grande Robe" a project from my residency at Thread thread.senegal.org  in Senegal last winter.

 

Joseph Gallivan has been a reporter since 1990. He has covered music for the London Independent, Technology for the New York Post, and arts and culture for the Portland Tribune, where he is currently the Business Reporter. He is the author of two novels, "Oi, Ref!" and "England All Over" which are available on Amazon.com
