On Tuesday, June 20, 2017, at 11.30am Joseph Gallivan interviews Daniel Peabody about his show of 21 gunpowder-based drawings “Residue” on show now at Oranj Studio in South Waterfront through June 30. Peabody will talk about his technique for burning gunpowder against a white wall and how he arranges such marks in geometric grids. Peabody also discusses his unorthodox methods, his roots as a fiber artist and his inspiration in Modernism.

Joseph Gallivan has been a reporter since 1990. He has covered music for the London Independent, Technology for the New York Post, and arts and culture for the Portland Tribune, where he is currently the Business Reporter.
