Women of Color Speak Out

In the first half of the show host Jo Ann Hardesty speaks with Zarna of Women of Color Speak Out,  Women of Color Speak Out is a collective of four climate justice, racial justice, gender justice and intersectional movement activists that came together in 2015 in Seattle during the ShellNo campaign. They formed the group out of a desire to create a space for women of color in a climate movement which, especially in Seattle, is dominated by white, cis men. They have a no-compromise stance and challenge and disrupt the status quo of white supremacy and patriarchy wherever we encounter it.

Women of Color Speak Out will be in Portland this week.

Where: First Unitarian Portland, 1211 SW Main St, Portland, Oregon 97205

When: Thursday, May 26 at 6:30 PM – 9 PM
