There were several artists we wanted to highlight for our upcoming drive show- and Al Green was one of them. There are also many other albums that have been released around this time, who share anniversaries (such as What's Going On, out favorite album of all time). However, it was recently the day Green came onto this earth, so we decided to just do that now- as well as counter the recent series of shows observing the lives of those who have transcended. We also will be honoring the creative energies of Willie Mitchell (who HAS since transcended); Mitchell and Green indeed were a powerful team.
