NAMI Oregon w/David Dahl
Tune in on Thursday as we discuss the upcoming NAMI Northwest 5K Walk on Sunday, May 17, 2015 registration at Noon and the walk begins at 1:00PM.

None of us are immune to mental heatlh issues.  In our lifetime we will be required to make decisons for loved ones or they for us that we won't feel prepared to address,  That's where the National Alliance of the Mentally Illness comes in as a resource for family members, providers and others who need accurate information on resources available.
Join guest Wendy Sample, a small business owner who has been active with the NAMI for over a decade who has a personal connection to the work, David Dahl, Co-Owner, Dave Killer Bread, who describes his very public mental crisis as "My first bipolar episode on 11/14/13 which was covered widely in the media, but not accurately" will talk about why he continues to speak about the stima associated with mental illness and why this experience has deepen his committment to NAMI and their education programs.  We will also have Michelle Madison, Walk Director, NAMI Oregon to provide up to date information regarding the walk.
