Shalonda Sims Discusses Portland's Black History
Creative artist and playwright Shalanda Sims is a renaissance woman.
As a writer, actor, singer, and playwright she has created stage-plays depicting Portland’s black history.
She sang with the Portland Opera in the Pirates of Penzance two years ago.
Shalonda is a songwriter who has also worked with local kids in theater for many years.
She speaks with KBOO’s Joe Mayer on her 10th annual production of ‘Who I am. Celebrating Me,’ a community production celebrating Portland’s Black history.
