Here's to soulful dreams
especially during troubled times or lack of sleep

PS - Thanks for the opening song you chose, the live track of L. Cohen's adaptation of Day of Atonement prayer "Who By Fire?" In that touring ensemble of late 80's circa 90's was, as you mentioned the late lamented awesome Armenian-American oud player, John Bilezikjian (Bilay-zeek-jian) who used to light up Fresno's mid-summer scorching Armenian Picnics and Indian Summer heated October Armenian Festivals when he'd come up to Oakland's St. Vartan's Church for Armenian\Greek\Assyrian folk dancing.

Z"L or Rest In Play to the playful man that often accompanied Muddle Eastern ensembles and combos, wondrous Assyrian kanooner and also oud player lamentably now transitioned to that big Green Room in the Blue Skies, Assyrian-Swedish-American kanoon player based in the East Bay Area, Daniel Eshoo. Twas Daniel Eshoo who had crowned for his fretless oud wizardry the ecstatic "Johnny B. Oud..." who played with a traditional eagle feather that ancient pear-shaped instrument like he was "ringin' a bell..."

Lyrics:

One by one the guests arrive
The guests are coming through
The open-hearted many
The broken-hearted few

And no one knows where the night is going
And no one knows why the wine is flowing
Oh love, I need you, I need you, I need you, I need you
I need you now

And those who dance, begin to dance
Those who weap, begin
And welcome, welcome cries of voice
Let all my guests come in

And no one knows where the night is going
And no one knows why the wine is flowing
Oh love, I need you, I need you, I need you, I need you
I need you now

And all goes stumbling through that house
In lonely secrecy
Saying do reveal yourself
or why has thou forsaken me

And no one knows where the night is going
And no one knows why the wine is flowing
Oh love, I need you, I need you, I need you, I need you
I need you now

All at once the tortures flare
The inner door flies open
One by one they enter there
in every style of passion

And no one knows where the night is going
And no one knows why the wine is flowing
Oh love, I need you, I need you, I need you, I need you
I need you now

And here they take their sweet repast
Wild house and grounds resolve
And one by one the guests are cast beyond the garden wall

And no one knows where the night is going
And no one knows why the wine is flowing
Oh love, I need you, I need you, I need you, I need you
I need you now

For those who dance, begin to dance
Those who weap, begin
Those who earnestly are lost
are lost, and lost begin

And no one knows where the night is going
And no one knows why the wine is flowing
Oh love, I need you, I need you, I need you, I need you
I need you now

One by one the guests arrive
The guests are coming through
The broken-hearted many
The open-hearted few

And no one knows where the night is going
And no one knows why the wine is flowing
Oh love, I need you, I need you, I need you, I need you
I need you now
