After 30 years of amazing service Bob Sallinger is retiring from Portland Audubon. Bob's record as an advocate, activist, naturalist, wildlife researcher, and wildlife rehabber, and his deep ties to the community, have led to many of the most exciting conservation wins in Portland Audubon’s history, and not only have saved the lives of countless wild animals, but have transformed the Oregon landscape for future generations.
On this episode of Locus Focus we talk to Bob about his long tenure at Audubon and his new journey post-Audubon, joining Willamette Riverkeeper as their new Urban Conservation Director. Bob is joined on the show by Willamette Riverkeeper's executive director Travis Williams, to talk about the state of this river that runs through our lives, the continual threats it experiences and how to make sure we take the best of care of this invaluable resource and blessing.
