Death Penalty in Oregon

Aliza Kaplan, Director of the Criminal Justice Reform Clinic, shares her expertise about the history of the death penalty in Oregon, recent changes, and the current status of the law. This was one in a series of programs in 2021by the Beaverton City Library’s One Book, One Beaverton community-wide reading program that explored themes from the book Just Mercy by Bryan Stevenson.

The event was recorded by the Beaverton City Library. Special thank you to Jennie Chamberlin, librarian, and Anne LaVallee, reference assistant, Beaverton City Library Adult Services.
