Jan Haaken interviews Layel Camargo an indigenous descendant of the Yaqui and Mayo tribes from the Sonoran Desert. Layel Camargo is a transgender & gender non conforming person who has been involved with performance art in both theater and video since 2008,. Their recent efforts include work with 'Climate Woke' a collaborative project through the Center for Cultural Power, dedicated to producing videos and performance pieces on climate change by and for Black, Indigenous and People of Color.
