In an interview pre-recorded when only one of the four police killers of George Floyd had been arrested, Bill Resnick talks with Malik Miah, a long-time Black rights and revolutionary socialist activist, a former aviation mechanic,  a contributing editor with the US socialist magazine Against the Current,  and on the editorial advisory board of Links International Journal of Socialist Renewal.  He has recently written about COVID-19  and about the current uprising.

Malik and Bill discuss the uprising, the importance of health issues and unemployment as well as racism in generating widespread action; the vilification of antifascist leftists or “Antifa,” and the need for other leftists to speak out in their defense; the problems with most police reforms, the actual purpose of police to protect property, and the need to defund police and provide community control.
