Today is National Women and Girls AIDS Awareness Day, an annual day announced by the Centers for Disease Control and the National Institutes of Health. We'll hear a recorded talk on the topic by Dr. Gina Brown, of the NIH Office of AIDS Research. Head to hiv.gov for much, much information on HIV and AIDS.

We'll hear Undectable, by Jade Elektra. Undetectable = untransmittable.

With the HIV2020 Conference scheduled for this summer, we'll hear an interview recorded last year with Latino HIV/AIDS organizer and educator Marco Castro-Bojorquez.  Marco is a LGBT activist and an impact filmmaker focusing on marginalized communities, elevating the experiences immigrant people, especially those who are undocumented, LGBTQ people, with emphasis on transgender women of color, people living with HIV/AIDS, POC communities, youth and young adults, women, sex workers, people struggling with mental health, people who inject drugs, and people with different abilities. His work anchors at weaving together these interconnected struggles - and in doing so, intentionally challenge toxic masculinity, racism, homophobia, transphobia, and other “isms” that threaten our collective wellbeing.

Marco discusses about why folks have committed to an international AIDS Conference that is an alternative to this year's mainstream public health international AIDS Conference, to be held in San Francisco.
