Suncere Ali Shakur is an activist in Cleveland, Ohio. He runs a free breakfast program for kids, and this December, he created a drive to provide women and girls with non-lethal weaponry in an effort to combat human trafficking and the victimization of women and girls in his housing project.

KBOO's Jenka Soderberg got to speak with Shakur about the effort and the role black men can play in protecting their communities.
