Bill Resnick reviews the PBS "American Experience" documentary about Emma Goldman. Drawing on the analysis of Candace Falk, of the Emma Goldman Archive Project at UC Berkeley, Bill criticizes the show's soft-pedaling of Emma's radical politics and the good sense she had for fighting for a stateless cooperative society, but also its lack of direct material from and by her. He says that ultimately it still inspires despite its weaknesses, and could be the basis of a better film. Music "Emma Goldman" by Anne Feeney.
