Jan Haaken talks with Anais Tuepker of 350PDX about current climate actions, the need to connect local and global, the role of indigenous leadership on climate, the politics of allyship, and a 4/22 film screening event. Anaïs Tuepker is the Lead for Organizational Resilience with 350PDX.   They discuss an upcoming Earth Day event at the First Unitarian Church Portland April 22nd.  350PDX will present a screening of the work-in-progress documentary, Necessity: Oil, Water, and Climate Resistance, directed by Jan Haaken and Samantha Praus. The event includes a panel discussion with filmmakers and local activists, reception with food & drinks, and music by the Djangophiles. 350PDX is a local non-profit affiliated with the international 350.org network. The mission of 350PDX is to build a diverse grassroots movement to address the causes of climate disruption through justice-based solutions by inspiring, training and mobilizing people to act.
