On Tuesday, February 6th Transpositive will host a special show on KBOO community radio,90.7FM on the radio dial in Portland, OR or online at kboo.fm celebrating transpositivity through the body positive lens of sex, love and dating.
Our guests include:
Amory Jane is a sex educator, entertainer, and sex-positive event producer. She is the creator and host of Whoopee! A Sex-Positive Variety Show and the podcast Sex on the Brain with Amory Jane. She is also the Education Coordinator at She Bop and has been a sex toy maven since 2011. She is here today to talk about sex and sex toys for Valentine's Day as well as tell us about what's happening at She Bop and around Portland during the month of love.
Sara from the podcast "Queer Sex Ed," Sara has been a sexual health and LGBTQ educator for 8 years. She began as a freshman in college with our Community Health department, then as a full-time professional for a year after graduation. In her professional life, she conducts workplace and school workshops about LGBTQ communities and allyship for businesses, non-profits, and conferences. Sara identifies as a queer, sex-positive, non-monogamous woman.
We will be discussiong love, sex and relationships from the unique perspective of transgender, gender non-conforming, gender queer and gender fluid persons. Too often trans* bodies are rendered invisible by a culture which diminishes transgender desires, fetishizes trans bodies or determines them abnormal or undesireable. Trans and gender fluid/nonbinary/queer bodies are works of art and objects of desire, attraction, pleasure and joy as any body. We celebrate our unique loves, bodies, attractions and relationships.
