This spring, Oregon has the opportunity to take a major step in the transition from polluting energy to a clean energy future. The Clean Energy Jobs bill, currently being considered by the Oregon legislature, limits climate pollution and invests in clean energy strategies that create jobs and support clean air.

On this episode of Locus Focus we talk with Oregon State Representative Karin Power and Meredith Connolly, Climate Solutions Oregon Director, about how the Clean Energy Jobs bill will help determine our climate future by putting a price on carbon and investing in a clean and green economy.

As Oregon Director for Climate Solutions, Meredith Connolly develops, advocates for and implements clean energy and climate change policies and programs to accelerate Oregon’s transition to a clean energy, low-carbon economy.

Karin Power currently serves in the Oregon House of Representatives, representing the 41st district, which includes Milwaukie, Oak Grove, and parts of southeast Portland. Prior to serving in the Oregon House, she served on the Milwaukie City Council. In her day job she is Associate General Counsel at The Freshwater Trust in Portland.
