Sometimes through the sadness, we find beauty... But in the sadness we may also find clarity. We wanted to focus on heartbreak and unrequited love not only in terms of our personal relationships (i.e. 'romance'), but also the relationship had with the U.S. (in particular). People WANT to believe that somehow, somewhere... despite all the abuse and rejection, that things will get better, or that we will be loved and accepted- if we only voted a certain way, or contacted a particular politician. Sometimes we need to take the past as a lesson to find ourselves. To find ourselves, we sometimes need to shed what is around us. Come with us to take that journey...
