As the flags go up, and fireworks are bought, we thought it was an especially important time to think about hyper-patriotism, imperialism, and despotism. What do you think of when you think of America? Is it the physical country, it's people, it's government, or a combination?
We'll be discussing work by Howard Zinn, Mark Twain, and others.
