Tim Buckley's collaborator discusses his new work of poetry and music, U.S. Rivers
Billed "a choral reading with music and visuals", U.S. Rivers is an ambitious presentation of Portland poet Larry Beckett's newest long-form work, which is being staged at the Mission Theater on Friday, May 12. Larry's visited The Songcircle twice previously to discuss his classic work with Tim Buckley (Larry co-wrote many of Tim's best-known songs) as well as his ongoing creative output. We're excited to welcome him back to preview this latest project. Joining Larry in the KBOO studios will be acclaimed Portland actor Lorraine Bahr, who directed the new work, and performs in it alongside other local actors and musicians.
