Proponents for a guaranteed basic income discuss the why's and how's
Offering to everyone, free of any conditions, an income that would provide for a basic living, is an idea that has been gaining momentum all over the world. Why is it being supported? How would it work? Where is it happening? Tune in to hear from Jenna Van Draanen who works extensively with the Canadian basic income network and with the international network, Basic Income Earth Network, writer Peter Wright, and activist Tristan Roberts who has been part of Basic Income Portland. Tristan will be facilitating a basic income meetup this Saturday, March 25, from 2 to 4 pm at the Sellwood Library at 7860 SE 13th Ave, Portland.
