40 Acres, a New Car & the Prison System: Hip Hop for Social Change

Adam Carpinelli will interview local Hip Hop artist Swiggle Mandela.  After independently producing his own videos and albums for many years Mandela's latest video releases; "Portland Parks" and "40 Acres and a New Car" are taking over the internet and will be featured on his next album.  Mandela's lyrics reflect on current events, police brutality and the prison industrial complex from his perspective as a family member of an incarcerated person.  The discussion will focus on how the police and prison system affects his life, family and how Hip Hop is used for social change.
