Yesterday marked the second-year anniversary of the death of 18-year-old michael brown, shot by ferguson missouri police officer darrin wilson.
Local groups such as Black Lives Matter Portland and Don’t SHoot PDX gathered at the Portland Art Museum to remember the shooting by emphasizing access to art and to the connections between diverse community groups.
KBOO’s Jenka Soderberg spoke with one of the speakers at the event, Hanna Estephan Eid (“EED”), a leader of the Portland State Student group,” SUPER,” or Students United for Palestinian Equal Rights.
