Joseph Gallivan interviews Beth Kerschen and Greta Blalock

On Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at 11.30am Joseph Gallivan interviews Beth Kerschen and Greta Blalock. [pronounced blay-lock]

Kerschen is an photo collage artist whose show “Portland: East Meets West” recently opened on Concourse B at the Portland International Airport (beyond security).

Greta Blalock
is the Art Program Administrator for the Port of Portland and is in charge of the Port’s $9 million art collection.

Kerschen’s large collage, printed on white vinyl and clear plexiglass, evokes images of historical Portland with contemporary photos.

Blalock talks about how she finds artists to show at the airport, and how the audience differs from a conventional museum or gallery one.
