Globetrotting author Lauren Redniss' latest work is Thunder & Lightning: Weather Past Present Future, a book that combines meterology, mythology, reportage, paintings, and etchings into a immersive narrative about the climatic forces that we all wrestle with on a daily basis.
We're also joined by Ron Diamond, curator of the Animation Show of Shows, celebrating its 17th year in Portland at Cinema 21 with short films by Don Hertzfeldt, Lynn Tomlinson, Isabel Favez, Amanda Palmer and Ari Ofer, among many others.
